About Adrienne Aristil

Adrienne Aristil was born in Haiti Where she lived her early childhood and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, at the age of thirty. Despite her professional background in her native country she was afraid about immigrating to the United States. She didn’t think she would be able to integrate herself in the country academically, professionally, or socially. So, she thought if she could just speak a little bit of English, she could survive, but she would not be able to go to college. However, God had more in His plan for her. To make her story short, she went to school and received her bachelor’s degree in social work at the age of thirty-eight from Florida Atlantic University. She became a teacher and continued to study to be certified in four subject areas in the Florida’s school system. She got her master’s degree in educational leadership, and in the summer of 2009, she was awarded a scholarship from the French government to study the strategies of teaching the French language and culture through art, music, and drama.

Advice to become a Reader and a Writer

The best way we can become writers is to keep a journal. Nowadays, with technology, people have no longer time to read nor to write. If you feel that you don’t read and write anymore, this book is for you. This is not a meditation book where the author is preaching. I share some introspection on different subjects based on some circumstances in my lives according to how they reflect the supernatural experience of God’s grace.

The reader is also suggested to read in English or in French or in Haitian Creole a Bible passage or a verse, and the author’s thought with a question to prompt the reader to write his or her own personal thought. There is not enough room to write a lot of the space provided to answer the question. But if you really want to adopt the habit of writing, you can have a separate notebook to write your short meditation. The moment you begin this spiritual journey with fidelity, this experience should give you a special divine connection, peace of mind even in the chaotic world we are living in.
