Advice to become a Reader and a Writer

The best way we can become writers is to keep a journal. Nowadays, with technology, people have no longer time to read nor to write. If you feel that you don’t read and write anymore, this book is for you. This is not a meditation book where the author is preaching. I share some introspection on different subjects based on some circumstances in my lives according to how they reflect the supernatural experience of God’s grace.

The reader is also suggested to read in English or in French or in Haitian Creole a Bible passage or a verse, and the author’s thought with a question to prompt the reader to write his or her own personal thought. There is not enough room to write a lot of the space provided to answer the question. But if you really want to adopt the habit of writing, you can have a separate notebook to write your short meditation. The moment you begin this spiritual journey with fidelity, this experience should give you a special divine connection, peace of mind even in the chaotic world we are living in.

Moreover, you can have the opportunity to pray with thoughts based on the Scripture Reading of the day by communicating to your Heavenly Father. There is also space in this journal to write down the names of the family members or loved ones that have a birthday or an anniversary, including prayers requests for them. This is a good way to stay connected with loved ones. If you dedicate only 15 to 20 minutes a day to use this journal for a year, I think, you will be surprised how you will experience a sanctified journey in terms of discovering God’s purpose and grace for you, which will push forward in the path of love and service. In other words, live in His name and for His glory!

In short, meditation is reflection and contemplation. It is my hope that many of my brothers and sisters will adopt this journal to develop a deeper connection with their Heavenly Fathers. The goal here is to use it as a weekly or a daily guide for a sanctified communion with our Heavenly Fathers. And, we can begin any point of the year.

In this chaotic time, we are living, especially with Covid-19 that has shaken the world for the last two years. As a result, there are so many sick people, deaths and hardships. No one is exempt: rich or poor, big or small nations. Everyone is affected directly or indirectly. We mourn our loved ones: family members, brothers, sisters, and friends. We are suffering immensely.

However, we shouldn’t be surprised by those catastrophes because our Heavenly Father has already warned us in 2 Timothy 3:1, “In the last days, there will be terrible times.” We are not supposed to be alarmed, we should use this time of troubles to be closer to God. In other words, we must understand that our days are numbered; So, placing our faith in God and praying without ceasing, is the most ultimate choice to make.

Therefore, as we are waiting for our time with a number of questions we struggle to answer: What is going to happen to my loved ones and I? What should I do? In her new book, “A Sanctified Year Diary”, Sister Adrienne Aristil shows us how to stay connected with God by creating an engaging journey through Bible passages and daily devotional thoughts. This book by my dear sister Adrienne Aristil, will give you the keys to develop a divine relationship with God. I will recommend anyone who walks with Jesus and would like to begin a journal at any point of the year, to adopt this book to record their special journey of communicating with our Heavenly Father.

One of the hardest parts of life is the fact that it’s daily, as no one ever takes a break from it. Having the opportunity to face life every day is definitely a blessing. However, one’s approach or perception can obstruct that reality. God, who is omniscient, knew more than anyone else that each day would present its own set of challenges. For this reason, He instructs and empowers us to start each new day with a clean slate; that is, leaving yesterday behind along with its problems, troubles and worries.

In addition, most Christians would agree that one of their spiritual goals is to remain connected with God, but they struggle mightily in that area despite knowing how paramount it is to the Christian life. This Fifty-two-week journal can certainly help a myriad of Christians attain that goal through the daily spiritual dose that is found in it. While I am not making a case that this devotional can be used as a substitute for reading the bible daily, it is unequivocally a supplement that is edifying, uplifting and educational. Moreover, one of the things that sets this devotional apart from the other ones is the fact that it is written in English, French and Haitian Creole.

Additionally, this devotional is very easy to read, direct, interactive, yet comprehensive in all three languages. Thus, its impact on Christians around the world could be astronomical. As a psychotherapist, I know the importance of having a positive attitude towards life. That’s why I highly recommend this devotional to everyone, as it can help start off the day on a positive note. It is not just a wishful thought, but it is a positive approach that is rooted in the word of God.

In a civilization characterized by excessive consumption, many believers forgot that the soul needs to be well-fed. In order to point out the value of the soul, Jesus himself declared in the Gospel according to Matthew 16:26: “What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Praise God for His written revelation to mankind, which is the best food for the spirit, soul, and body. We read in the book of the prophet Jeremiah:” When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.”

Adrienne Aristil, educator, author, spouse, mother, and devoted servant of the Lord recognizes that living a sanctified life is the best decision one can make to please God and to achieve a well-balanced life. “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God…”, said the the apostle Paul to the Thessalonians. Furthermore, she understands the fundamental truth that the best tool that can lead to sanctification is the Word of God. Therefore, she passionately exhorts her readers to pursue sanctification by remaining faithful to Christian orthodoxy.

Through this book, Sister Adrienne has demonstrated that, as believers in Christ, we can still live a peaceful life in a chaotic time. Thus, I am delighted to recommend you A Sanctified Year Diary, a practical book, which would encourage you to read, meditate, reflect, and pray.

Daily devotions and quiet time with our Lord Jesus for a Christian person is a must, and “A Sanctified Year Diary” is the best way to do that. Sister Adrienne Aristil’s daily devotional diary will help guide anyone to have that every day divine connection with the Lord. She eloquently denotes impactful Bible passages that will help guide one to have that intimate and precious time in whatever season of life one finds themselves in.

One will definitely have a heart to heart interrelation with God after reading and journaling in this diary. She is so gracious and always thinking of others and I believe that is why the diary is written in three different languages (English, French, and Creole), so different people could benefit from this gem of a diary. One of my favorite part is “Gratitude brings a freedom of the heart.” Being a grateful person is a profound way to show the world one of Jesus’ greatest characteristics. Jesus so loved us that He gave His life for us all, the greatest gift ever given!“The Sanctified Year Diary” is a must have and read!

It’s Only by the Exhibition of His Grace

My first book:

In English: It’s only by the Exhibition of His grace…  with the subtitle: As children of the Master Architect, our limitations do not limit us.

In French : Ce n’est que par l’Exhibition de Sa grâce… avec le sous-titre : En tant qu’Enfants du Grand Architecte, nos limitations ne sauraient constituer une barrière.

In this book in French and English, I share my life as a desperate, limited woman, and how God has made paths where I thought there was no hope.

Indeed, to fully understand the title of this book, I must give you a short description of myself, especially for those who will read this page and do not know me:

As you already know, my name is Adrienne Aristil, I was born in Haiti and moved to Florida at the age of thirty. Despite my professional background in my native country, I was very scared when I immigrated to the United States of America. I didn’t think I would be able to integrate into this foreign country on any level. Despite my background as an “Executive Secretary” in my native country, my prayer to God was just to learn a little English to be able to work as a cleaning lady.

To make the story short, I went to school and received my first college degree at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) at the age of 38 in Social Work. Glory to our God! Not only that, but I also went on to further studies to become a teacher with four different subject areas in the Florida school system. I also obtained a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, not to mention other privileges that the Lord has granted me, such as the short-term scholarship that I received in the summer of 2009 from the French government to study in France with other French teachers from the United States.

Indeed, I have been teaching French for more than 15 years in the United States school system. I can say that I am not a sophist writer; but I have already published two books and eight Magazine publications for my church, a magazine with memorable exclusive activities complemented by beautiful photographs of past events at the Haitian Peniel Baptist Church community of Lake Worth and his friends near and far.

Well, I think I said a lot, and frankly, there’s a lot more; It is amazing to see what the Lord can do for His children. After this description, you can understand the reason why I gave this title to this book: It is only by the Exhibition of His grace…

Do you think you are so limited that you will never be fulfilled? anything? My friend, my brother, my sister, I would like to tell you that as children of God, our limitations are not problems. In fact, God can take our ignorance, inadequacy, limitations, and weaknesses and use them for His own glory. We are the children of the great Architect; our limitations cannot constitute a barrier.

This was all for my first book, I failed to mention that I wrote it as a divorcee. Two years later, my second book will arrive under the title “For the Rest of my Life…” where I wrote it with a heart full of scars from a delicate marriage that had been transformed into resilience and I chose to live a celibate life ennobled by a divine consecration towards a passion for Jesus.

Pour le Reste de Ma vie… (For the Rest of My Life…)

This book in French, proposes to discover short stories intimate to the author and accompanied by poems and evangelical songs that can touch the reader spiritually for a divine connection despite all the distractions from this chaotic world.
